I spent several years at Sky, working on NowTV and Peacock. The kind of products where a small bug shows up in a few million living rooms. After that I was a Principal Engineer leading a team of around ten. Less writing code myself, more working out what needed writing in the first place.
Right now I'm a Consultant for the Ellison Institute of Technology. Alongside that I take on a small number of other consulting clients, mostly AI startups dealing with fragile codebases. I also build my own products, currently working on AgentReceipt, a compliance audit trail for AI agents.
How I work
I am direct about trade-offs and I do not build more than the problem needs. I have done this long enough to know what actually matters and what just feels important at the time.
I work with a small number of clients at a time so the work stays focused and the quality stays high.
